While we have awesome moments like this often it is rare that I am able to capture such a perfect moment.
One of the most important ways of teaching in Montessori is modeling, and there is no better feeling than when, after many times practicing, you see them doing so on their own without prompting.
Forced apologies and forced affection often miss the point. But, through modeling, them being on both the receiving end or giving end, it shares very important lessons in asking for help, finding consolation from a friend, and modeling kindness without forcing.
It gives us an amazing gift of seeing these little unprompted moments of what it means to be a community.
