Global Knowledge
Our school is non-sectarian and we do not adhere to any particular religious, political, or economic belief. Our goal is to teach respect and appreciation for all individuals and cultures around the world. For this purpose, geography, science, music and dance, art and Spanish are daily activities. Children at the Montessori School of Herndon become global citizens in their local environments by experiencing a variety of cultures right here at the school. Our children are exposed to different cultures and learn about how other societies are organized and how other people around the world live. For example, our parents make presentations to the classrooms explaining the traditions in their respective countries, or they might prepare special snacks introducing tasty international foods and new flavors. We are incredibly proud of the diversity included in both our student base and experienced staff.
