Q. How is a Montessori program different from other programs?
A Montessori program is different from other educational programs in a number of ways:

Teaches to individuals instead of to groups. In many other classrooms, lessons are presented to the whole class and sometimes to small groups. In Montessori schools the general rule is reversed. Most of the time the teacher presents lessons to individuals. Other children can watch if they are interested. In this way, the teacher can address the specific needs of a child and can respond to that individual child’s interest and level of understanding. The child does not have to sit through something that he or she is not ready for. The individual attention also helps the teacher be much more familiar with the child. Thus, the teacher understands the child more fully, and better provides for that child.

Q. How does Montessori education benefit children?
Children in Montessori schools are often several years above grade level in their basic skills. Also, since the Montessori education is comprehensive, children are often exceptionally knowledgeable in a number of other areas as well.
Q. At what age can my child start at a Montessori school?
We take children as young as 2 years old.
Q. What is the highest grade you teach at the schools?
We go up to 6th grade during the academic year.
Q. What are your school hours?
  8:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for pre-school and 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for kindergarten and the grade school program.
Q. Do you provide before and after school care?
Before and after school care is available – we take children as early as *7:30 a.m. and we watch children as late as 6:00 p.m.
Q. Do you provide lunch?
Students can bring their own lunch or a hot lunch is available at the schools.
Q. Do you provide snacks?
Mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are served.
Q. Are tuition fees deductible from income taxes?
In some cases tuition may be deductible for pre-school students, before & after school care, and summer sessions for children under the age of 12. For information contact your tax consultant or IRS office.
