Dress Code
It has been observed that
students demonstrate better behavior and show more attention to school work when they are
neatly dressed. The uniform dress code is mandatory and in effect for all
students.
All students should wear collared white shirts or blouses, short or long
sleeves all year round. Slacks, shorts, skirts, and Jumpers should be either khaki or navy
blue. For sweaters, jackets and cardigans, please select either navy blue, red or Yellow.
Mondays will continue to be dress up days with boys wearing a tie.
The dress code is required for all students. We are concerned
about clothing and shoes that may be hazardous to the health and safety of the students.
Dress your child neatly and simply. All children should wear sneakers or shoes with rubber
soles. Jellies, thongs, sandals, or open shoes are not permitted. Wood chips on the
playground can easily get into feet and toes and cause injury! Dress your child in shirts
or tops that cover the chest and stomach area. Please make sure that your child does not
wear clothing or jewelry that can get caught on the playground equipment. Jackets with
strings, scarves, and necklaces are especially dangerous and pose choking hazards.
Valuable jewelry which might be lost on the playground or sandbox should not be worn to
school. All removable clothing i.e. sweaters, jackets, coats, mittens, hats, caps, etc.
must be labeled with the child's name.
Lands End catalog offers our logo on school uniform items. They featured us
in their 1998-1999 School Year catalog! You can call them at 1-800-469-2222 to order a
catalog or visit them on the web at www.landsend.com.
The code for the Montessori Schools logo is 9728343K.
SUMMER
Summer Sessions
provide daily reinforcement of current skills, with the emphasis on enrichment
activities. The children will be gardening, doing arts and crafts projects, cooking, and
using computers to enhance their skills in all areas of curriculum. Our fuzzy friend Muzzy
will be joining us weekly for Spanish, and French. Of course we will have our very popular
water days again this summer.
Karate and Dance will
continue during the summer session. If you have been thinking about starting your child in
dance or karate, summer session is the perfect time for children to experience the
wonderful worlds of dance movement, and martial arts.
