Curriculum and Extra Curricular Activities
Montessori is a non-traditional approach to education based on the fundamental belief that a child learns best within a social environment that supports and respects each individual’s unique developmental pattern at the personal and academic level. Learning at Montessori takes place in a non-competitive environment free of stress and full of challenging and enriching activities. This environment makes learning a very positive experience and children at Montessori become individuals who enjoy learning throughout their life and seek knowledge for the joy of knowledge.
The Montessori School of Herndon offers the following extra-curricular activities that complement and/or enhance the rigorous curriculum at our school. These activities are offered once a week and students can choose as many extra-curricular activities as they wish.
